The idea / rapt / — adj.

To be rapt: seized, carried off — so absorbed in the work you disappear into it.

Rapt Ventures is a maker's studio — a small, growing set of privately built, ad-free products. Each one obsessed over until it's worth handing to someone.

Absorbed in the making

Built slowly, in the open hours, until the work is worth its name.

Private by conviction

Ad-free. No selling the people who trust it — the product is the product.

Independent

Small, owned, unhurried. Answerable only to the work.

The studio stays quiet, so the work can speak.

Heirloom

Memories that stay.

A private, ad-free place where a family keeps its memories on a shared timeline — and passes them down. Built for older adults first.

The signature — a family's timeline. Eucalyptus is now; taupe is already seen.
Why I built it

Heirloom started in the gap between distance and memory.

I'm in Brisbane. My grandmother Valerie is the keeper of our family's history — an iPad full of photos, stories she loves to tell, moments she wants to share. But I don't see her often, and there's never enough time to hear them all. I come from a blended family, spread out, and really seeing the people I care about as their lives unfold takes constant effort.

Years ago, my mum told me one of her regrets was not capturing more of my childhood — the small, everyday moments that are simply gone now. My sister is raising my nephew now, and I don't want those years to slip by the same way — I want to watch him grow up, not just hear about it later. My friends are scattered across the globe — Melbourne, Hong Kong, Sydney — and I want their real moments too, not just whatever fits a social-media profile.

So I built Heirloom: a private timeline where the people you care about most share their memories — a photo, a video, or just their voice turned into a caption — and you actually see them. Not filtered by an algorithm, not buried in a feed, not owned by a company optimising your attention. Just the authentic stories of the people you love.

It works for Valerie, who loves to share. For my sister, documenting my nephew. For friends across the world — and for anyone who just wants to stay close to the people they care about.

Some things are meant to be kept.

The first thing I got rapt in enough to build. It won't be the last.
The studio Rapt Ventures Pty Ltd

A maker's studio for things worth getting rapt in.

Rapt Ventures is where I build. A small, independent studio in Brisbane — self-funded, ad-free by principle, unhurried. Heirloom is the first venture; the rest arrive as I get rapt in them.
